Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GamECLicKs.com collects, who else receives it, and what choices you have. It covers the site at gameclicks.com and all of its pages. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

The Short Version

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, address, or payment details. We do not sell personal information. If you subscribe to our weekly email we hold your address and use it for nothing else. We do run advertising and affiliate links, and those third parties set cookies and may collect data about your visit. The rest of this page explains exactly who they are and how to opt out.

Information We Collect Directly

GamECLicKs.com has no login system and no comment section. We measure traffic with a cookie-free statistics tool, described below. There are two ways you can give us personal information directly:

• Emailing us at the address on our contact page. We receive whatever you choose to put in that message and keep it only as long as needed to reply.
• Subscribing to the weekly email. If you enter your email address in one of our signup forms, we store that address so we can send you the newsletter.

Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of your request. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

Visitor Statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages people read and how they found us, so we know what to write more of. It is a privacy-first tool: it does not set cookies, does not use local storage, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across other websites. We only see aggregate totals such as page views, referring sites, and country, never a profile of an individual visitor. Cloudflare's handling of this data is covered by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

The Weekly Email

If you subscribe, here is exactly what happens to your address:

• We use it to send one email a week containing console pricing, live sales, and gaming news. That is the only thing we send.
• We never sell, rent, or share your address with advertisers or any third party beyond the email service provider that delivers the message on our behalf.
• Our email provider, Kit, stores the address and processes it solely to deliver our newsletter, and may record standard delivery data such as whether a message was opened.
• Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes your address from our list.
• You can ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing us, whether or not you use the unsubscribe link.
• We do not require an email subscription to read anything on this site, and subscribing does not change what content you can access.

Advertising and Cookies

We display advertising through Google AdSense. This is how the site pays for itself. You should know the following:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.com.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this site and set their own cookies. We do not control those cookies.

If you would rather not receive any advertising cookies at all, most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. The site will still work, but the ads you see will be less relevant.

Affiliate Links

GamECLicKs.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

In practice this means some links on our pages carry a tracking tag. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission and the price you pay does not change. Amazon sets its own cookies when you arrive through one of these links, and its handling of your data is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice, not this one. Affiliate links on our site are marked with rel="sponsored" and disclosed in the page footer.

Our affiliate relationships never determine our editorial opinions. When we tell you a console is overpriced or a game has technical problems, we say so whether or not there is a commission attached.

Third-Party Services We Load

Several parts of the site pull data or assets from other companies. When your browser loads them, those companies can see your IP address and basic request information:

• RAWG.io supplies the live game rankings in our Top Games section.
• CheapShark supplies the live pricing in our Hot Deals section.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used across the site.
• Google AdSense supplies advertising, as described above.
• Cloudflare provides content delivery and security, and may set a cookie to identify trusted traffic and mitigate attacks.

Each of these operates under its own privacy policy. We do not send them your personal information, but their servers necessarily see the request your browser makes.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information and hold very little of it, but if you want to make a request or ask what we have, email us via the contact page and we will respond.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful basis for processing the limited data described here is legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, and consent where required for advertising cookies.

Your US State Privacy Rights

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

Here is what that means on this site. We do not sell personal information for money. The only personal information we hold directly is the email address you give us if you subscribe to the Weekly Drop, which is stored with our email provider. Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, which some state laws treat as sharing for targeted advertising. To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page; where Google's privacy message applies to you, it opens Google's opt-out form directly. You can also opt out of personalized ads at any time through Google Ads Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page, and you can block third-party cookies in your browser.

To make a request to know, correct, or delete your information, email us using the address on the contact page with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We respond within 45 days, and we will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Children

This site covers video games, some of which are rated for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we add a service that changes how data is handled, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
